Cypress Village

Shaping a coastal mountain community built for a life of wellbeing.

Cypress Village is a mixed-use, multi-family development by British Properties, located on the mountains of West Vancouver. Designed as a sustainable, walkable community embedded within its surrounding wilderness, the project introduces a new model for living on Vancouver’s North Shore: one rooted in wellbeing, access to nature, and long-term stewardship of the land.

Designed at Resonance Consultancy

As part of the work completed at Resonance, the project focused on articulating the brand story, positioning the development, and designing the visual identity for Cypress Village. The identity reflects the relationship between people and place through a restrained, organic design language. The brand feels grounded, tactile, and shaped by the landscape itself. Inspired by the rugged terrain of the North Shore Mountains, the visual system balances refinement with durability, reinforcing the idea of a community carved from its environment rather than imposed upon it.

The work extended across a comprehensive suite of brand touchpoints, including brand guidelines, a complete website, marketing materials, and environmental applications such as construction hoarding. The success of the Cypress Village brand and the relationship established with British Properties led to a broader mandate to revisit and update the developer’s longstanding identity, connecting the project directly to the evolution of the British Properties brand as a whole.
